Maris first collaborated with Greeson when she fronted the band, Brand New Day, which recorded the album, For The Days Ahead in 2001. Maris and Greeson sang the lead vocals for the project and played guitar and piano. Two of Maris' originals, On the Mountain, and Light were recorded for that project. A Greeson original, Your Presence, was also on the disc.

Greeson's most recent album is Riverside on which Maris provided harmony vocals and played accordion on several songs. She is a cowriter with Greeson on Cutback Blues and Minnesota, both of which are on Riverside.

In 2015, she was asked last minute to fill in on the lead role for the reading at Purdue University of the musical, Betty's Diner, a new show that written and scored by award-winning singer-songwriter Carrie Newcomer.

In addition to Greeson's Riverside album, Vickie has provided vocals and/or accordion tracks on a number of recording projects. A partial list includes: Burning Heart album by Lee Anna Atwell; accordion track on the song, The Witness Tree by Greeson and Malachi Jaggers (Stateside Bride 2-disc album by Vickie Maris); accordion track on the song, When You Come Back Home, Dale Bitner album, Between the Water and the Flame; and she provided the accordion part and the haunting lead vocals on the song Nature's Acts of Wrath, which is on the 2020 album, Collaboration, by Joe Peters and Frederick Michaels. Michael Kelsey played all the other instruments on the song.
